Not much. Just cleaned up a, uh, I just dumped a bunch of cornmeal all over my kitchen floor. Well, you just got back from the grocery store. Was that a fresh bag? No, it was a, uh, it was a used, it was full though. Okay. All right. I was putting away some corn starch and bumped the, uh, corn be wood everywhere. That’s why you shouldn’t be in the kitchen. My friend I’m trying to find soda cans that I can like kick around and smash around while everybody’s talking. Okay. What’s up Mike? Good luck. Where you at, Mike? Uh, I’m in the middle of nowhere, Ohio, just south of Akron. Okay. Bse. Oh yeah. When’s, uh, when’s the Ohio thing? It’s. Is it all three days? Uh, yeah it starts Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, but I’m not speaking until Wednesday. Uh, I’ll find out tomorrow night if I’m gonna kick it in the dealer booth on Tuesday and stuff like that. But still gonna wrap up a few things with the presentation cuz just added like a hundred new photos and shit today. So just trying to get her organized. Sweet. Well cool deal. Yeah man. What have you been doing? Uh, I dunno, I dunno what I’ve been doing this one thing after another. Oh. Do you find some cans to rattle around? There’s that set that was It’s always a joke. Our buddy Ty, he might hop in here at some point tonight and we’ll hear soda cans. I’m. he’s always drinking like Dr. Peppers and stuff like that. And we’ll always just hear a million soda cans in the background. And he’s not doing it on purpose, it’s on accident. But, uh, the Dr. Pepper, the inside joke going for Twitter spaces now. Gotcha. Dr. Pepper. Well it started out Dr. Pepper, then it turned into what? Bush Light or something like that. Bush light. Yeah. I don’t You had a pretty good space the other night, didn’t you, Mike? Yeah, man, that was, a ton of people came through that thing and it’s always nice driving. Seth asked me if I was gonna do one Thursday night, which I was, but I had a audiobook I wanted to listen to. And then by the time I was done listening to that, it was like 10 30, 11 o’clock. So it’s like, man, I don’t think anybody’s gonna hop on at that point. Mm-hmm. Right, right, right. Well, you, you can only talk so much about. Golf course stuff and then it gets a little tiring. I agree. A hundred percent. Yeah. Especially when you’ve been doing training all week. I’m game for talking about anything. What do you think about college football playoffs? I don’t, I haven’t really followed that a whole lot. Sorry. Yeah. What was that, Mike? Yeah. Sorry, tr I didn’t mean to interrupt. Yeah, I was just gonna say, Ohio State’s gonna get absolutely clobbered by Georgia. Is that the first game? don’t know which one’s first, but I know it’s Georgia. Ohio State, and then tcu, Michigan. I think it’ll end up being Georgia versus Michigan. Yeah, it’s looking that way. Yeah, probably. So. What are you gonna do, Seth? I don’t know all these Michigan people up here. Yeah, I know. That’s why I was asking what are you gonna do? I’m in the, I’m in the lions. You know, last year I kept my mouth shut. I didn’t say nothing to anybody. All the Michigan fans said they were gonna throttle us. I just said Okay. Yeah. Okay. Right. No, I put my money on the SCC any day of the week. Yeah. Yeah. What have you been up to, Trent? Not, not a whole lot, really. Um, been traveling a lot, a lot, and did the, went to Texas and seen Tony and then, uh, up in Wisconsin for a week. Then I was in Kansas last weekend. So hadn’t been doing a whole lot of work. All the work I’ve been doing is, uh, working. We are getting ready to, uh, trench in a bunch of wire. We’re running new power wires to all our irrigation controllers. And then we’re also gonna run Maxi Wire through the course for the Rain Bird IC system. And we borrowed a vibratory plow from a construction company and all I’ve done is work on that thing and we hadn’t put the first foot of wire in the ground. And it’s like, so you guys are doing that in house? Uh, we do everything in house. It kinda, I mean, it’s good I guess, but it gets old. Yeah. Friday I, I went to Ditch Witch to get a bo attachment for our, our T trencher so we can bore underpass and stuff. So that’s gonna, it’s gonna be fun. Yeah. That’s a lot of man, that’s. It was a lot of work watching. I mean, that was just from our, our project we did. And watching those guys cuz they pulled everything pretty much and it was just like, it was a lot of hand digging. Yeah, I think they’ll be, yeah, a ton of hand digging too on our stuff. Cuz you can only get so close to the box and then it’s gotta go up under the box and when everything you go, I mean, everything’s gotta be traced out and pothole and Yeah, it’s, yeah, it’ll be fun. Yep. It’ll be fun. When do you guys hope to have that done by? I can’t remember when they want it done by. But I was joking. I was like, maybe we’ll be done by April. You know, they want to get it done in December, January or something, but who knows. Yeah. How long it’s gonna take. Cause like you said, you get into all that other stuff. You gotta trace all these wires and where do these go? And you don’t want to cut this and you don’t want to cut this dry line and Yeah. It’s just, it’s a big mess. That drain line didn’t have wire in it, so you didn’t trace it and you cut through it. Now you got a sinkhole. Yeah. Yep. All, all those fun things. But no, this stupid vibratory plow, every time I look at it, it’s been sitting in the shop for two weeks. Every time I look at it as a new hydraulic leak, so I’ll fix that one, then I’ll walk by two days later and then it has another hydraulic leak from, you know, a total different place. I don’t, I don’t get it. Do you have a hose maker or do you gotta go to nap? well, I have a hose maker, but the leaks that I’ve fixed so far, well, I’m still waiting on a seal kit for one of the cylinders, but I rebuilt one of the cylinders. Um, we did replace one of the hoses and then I had to put new tires on it. So it has a little rubber tires. I mean, it’s golf cart size tires, but they’re filled with foam. So I found a place local that I could take the tires to and get them filled. So that was a neat experience. I guess it’s a, what kind of foam is it? I, it’s basically like great stuff. It’s, uh, some kind of urethane foam they fill it with, they have, uh, they can fill it with rubber, but I chose not to do that just cuz it’s so heavy. It would’ve been 80 pounds of tire. And the stuff they put in there was uh, I think 35 pounds of tire. and it’s a What’s the, go ahead, what’s the purpose of the foam? Just so it don’t go flat and it does add a little extra weight. So hopefully you get better traction. Yeah, you bounce it around everywhere. That’s the idea. So I’m told you got any plans for Christmas? No, I don’t, I don’t have anything going on for Christmas. I’m trying to, uh, figure out coming to see you if I’m gonna fly or if I’m gonna drive. Yeah, come on. I’ll be driving back from Tennessee that weekend. I think the weekend before mtf. Like what day? Uh, new Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, I believe. Yeah, it was like last minute. My parents moved from Georgia. They sold their house in Cal and moved up to, uh, Danbridge, Tennessee. Okay. Which is just outside of Knoxville. So they’re three hours closer to us, so That’s good. So it was like a last minute. Let’s go see the parents. I was just curious because I thought we were supposed to go to Ben’s thing that weekend. I’m, I’m just realizing that, hang on a second. When is mtf? I don’t even know when MTF is. It’s like 10th, 11th, 12th. Okay. So that would be the next weekend. Okay, so you’re good then I’ll be coming back the second of, yeah, I’ll be coming back the 2nd of January. Okay. Where do they normally hold the mtf? So they switched it, it was at Michigan State, which is in Lansing. and then they moved it to a think last year was the first year they did it at the casino in, uh, the middle of Michigan. It’s like smack dad in the middle of Michigan. Um, I heard it was Mike was there last year. I didn’t go last year whenever. It was a pretty good turnout. How was it Mike? That was good. Uh, it’s usually, I mean, super heavily superintendent driven, but this past year they had what, uh, it was like, I don’t know exactly how many equipment managers, this is a good chunk, but I just know what showed up to my presentation was like 23 people. So I mean, it wasn’t, you know, bad, but it was just the weather is a really big hurdle and timing’s another big hurdle and stuff like that. And I mean, we’ll see what I’ll learn a lot this week during OTF to see, you know, like timing and stuff like that with it be in December instead of waiting until after the holidays, weather and stuff like that. But, um, it was a good turnout. Yeah. Okay, good. I’m looking forward to it. I’m mainly looking forward to ice fishing’s, what I’m really looking forward to, looking forward to. It’s called, that’s the other reason I wanted to drive so I can bring my soup. I got a freezer suit is normally what I wear when I, in the cold weather. I do, uh, I, I just do car hearts usually cause the way that, you know, we, we have heaters and stuff inside sha so it’s pretty, it’s actually pretty warm. You can get down to your boxers and be fun. Oh, okay. Well I don’t know that I’m gonna get that warm, but yeah, just a bunch of dudes and Hans and boxers. I don’t know about this. having second thoughts. Well, what have y’all been doing? What’s been going on? Uh, we’re just putting the course to bed lately, doing that. I finished spraying, spraying out the golf course last week for some bearing the fairways on the south course buried greens on North and south course, and we’re burying the fairways now on the south course that, with that angular stand. Uh, yeah, it’s called crush TV, I think, or something. I dunno. It’s, it’s nice. I like it. Is it better than that quart stuff? Uh, yeah. Not as course. Yeah. It’s, it’s nice. Really nice. Basically, it’s a little, no, sorry. It is what we use on. So, yeah, it’s good. Well, you guys sand like every day, so I mean, I, I can see why you could lose track There’s here we got, there’s a bunch of different sands we use. How’s, are you still on the field, Brian? Oh no, I just got home. I’m stuck in my face right now. Nice, nice. But yeah, it’s basically all, all been, I mean I went and saw Mike over in Canada the other day. First time I’ve been to Canada. Yeah. How was that? How was that trip? It was good. It was good. You know, Taylor’s only like two hours, two hours and 15 minutes from me, so Really? Okay. Yeah. I didn’t realize he was that close. Well, that’s sweet. So did you just run up there for the day? Yeah, I did. Yep. Very cool. Which way did you go back? You probably went back the same way, right? Which is what? Like that 4 0 1 or whatever. I I don’t even know. I, I didn’t even pay any attention to the road numbers. I just paid attention to the kilometers an hour to make sure I didn’t go over and get a ticket. Did they haul through there? Man, it might say like, you’re only doing, you know, 110 kilometers an hour, but they’re doing like 1 40, 1 50. So like instead of doing 65 or 70, they’re doing 90 miles an hour, 85 miles an hour. I didn’t believe it. Cause like you think Canadians are super nice and like, oh sorry guy. You know, like stuff like that. But not like, Kevin gave me a heads up. He’s like, dude, they’ll blow your doors off. And they do. Yeah. So when I, before I left, we got a kid that works for us, he’s naturally Canadian. It was been in America, knows his life, but he’s got a lot of family over there. He’s like, whatever you do, don’t speed. Cause they, they will pull you over because you’re, you got Michigan tags. And I was like, all right. So I just literally, whatever the maximum said is what I did. I did not want to get a ticket in Canada. Was that the, was that the toll road that is a hundred dollars a mile? No, I, no, the only toll I hit was, uh, going through Canada, the border. No, he had Trent, that big expensive toll road. Kevin might hop in here in a second. He just texted me. But that’s over in the Toronto area. And it is, it’s like I got a text from Melissa, our, our office manager. She’s like, Hey, did you go on like some toll road in Canada? I was like, yeah, sorry. I meant to give you a friendly heads up. It was like $87 to go on this toll road. Um, and it was only, only for like 45 minutes, an hour maybe. Uh, crazy shit. Crazy, crazy. But, um, I forgot. Oh, yeah, I, I realized today I haven’t even looked at the license plate on my, my rental truck, the 4runner and I walked around just to look at tires today and make sure they had air and stuff in them, and. It’s like I have a California plate, I was driving through Ontario at that thing. They probably thought I was some kind of maniac. I noticed that. I was like, yeah, Canada or uh, California. Did you go, so did you go, Mike, did you come back to report here on I think so. I took the northern road back through Thursday night, drove straight to Chicago. I left Taylor’s place at like seven, almost seven 30. And then drove straight to Chicago cuz it’s just like, I figured it’s the best time to go through there anyways. Was 1:00 AM two o’clock in the morning and then kicked it at Old Elm all day with Andy cuz he has s i and went through that stuff with his assistant. And then left Chicago too, like late Friday night. Got in, I said two on, on the post I made, but I actually didn’t get to this hotel until like 3:00 AM yesterday. Yeah, that’s central time. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I went back an hour, which was nice going to Chicago, but then I lost the hour coming back over here. I didn’t see that orange glow coming back home the other night. Yeah, I definitely, I looked it up. It’s definitely a, uh, greenhouse and they have like, the sky will be lit orange. What Seth is referencing for everybody else, uh, like we both noticed driving over at night or in the darkness in the morning for Seth, but the sky looks like Armageddon is going on the whole, it’s pitch black out, right? For me it was like 11 o’clock at night and it was pitch black, but you see this like orange part of the sky to the south of the interstate and it, it looks like it’s some kind of massive bomb went off. Like it looks like a massive city or the sun is rising. That’s how bright it is. Um, and when you look it up, it is, they have like these massive, massive greenhouses, uh, that just stayed lit. Yeah, they do that quite a bit. Um, like for example, for us, like with the farm and stuff, if we’re near like an intersection that has lights that those crops will stay green like another month and a half longer just because they get so much more light all the time. So it would make sense that they have lights there all the time. That’s crazy. Did you get, do you cover greens up there, Seth? Yeah, so our north course is bent paw, so we cover the north and then we’ll cover a couple of the south greens. Um, just, there’s like three or four of ’em that are kind of tucked in the trees a little bit. Um, we covered, we covered Thursday and Friday when it was a little warmer and like 30 mile an hour winds. It wasn’t very much fun, but yeah. Yeah. We covered Friday, the north course. We got 11 greens done with like eight guys. On Friday, we’ll finish ’em up tomorrow. Probably favorite time of year putting the course to bed, huh? Yeah, it’s a lot of work. It really is. And then all your staff’s gone for the year, so Yeah. But as, as mechanics and being kind of introverted, it’s nice not having so many people bug you. Yeah. Well, I’m out. I’ve been, I haven’t even been in the shop in a week cause I’ve been outside helping. Right. Yeah. The course of teaching guys how to top dress fairs and greens, and it’s kind a nice training, training time for us. Some of these younger assistants we got, we can them how to do things. What’s, what’s the, what’s that event in January y’all were talking about? Uh, it’s the Michigan Turf Grass Foundation. It’s the, uh, basically the conference for Michigan called m mt. It’s always like an inconvenient time of year. I would say, I think last year or the year before, Mikey, correct me if I’m wrong, but one day, like the week of New Year’s, like the third or fourth. Yeah. That’s when ours is here. It’s, I think it’s silly. Yeah. It’s it’s a, it’s a, for mtf. Yeah. I literally on January 2nd had to fly up, up. Yeah. Ours was like the third and fourth. And I, I get why they do it. It’s, you know, it’s the only time to do it really with the, the GIS in February, at the end of January, February, and then they have a big, big, uh, meeting, uh, for the Michigan superintendents in March. And then it’s like by the time March rolls around, everybody’s starting to get going, but I don’t know why they can’t do it in like November or December. Really. Yeah, we got, uh, we got everything blown out and covered and everything. Now all the renovations and all that stuff start along with finishing up some stuff, especially with the new construction there, there’s a lot of messes we gotta tie in and clean up. How much, how construction, yeah. How much construction can you do this time of year? I mean, the ground’s like in between being frozen and not frozen. So you’re pre, you’re just, that’s the only thing that’s gonna limit you. Cause we’re not really gonna get much moisture other than snow. But that’s not really in a forecast yet. But right now, I think I put it in the BS group the other day. We’ve got, uh, 12 bedroom, an eight bedroom and a four bedroom cottage going up right now. So, so it’s a mess. I love how y’all call eight bedroom places of cottage. Yeah. That’s just what we call him. Yeah. Like the cottages being Howard saw at a lotion club. Yeah. Yeah. And then I think they call him CITAs when you, when you go down to Texas houses. Yeah. It’s good stuff. Yeah. Hope he, hopefully you can make it up here sometime. We’ll see maybe next fall for the, EM meeting. Or maybe if you come up, uh, come up to Kansas again. Yeah. I don’t know when I’ll be back in Kansas, but hopefully next time I would’ve came this time. But I went, ended up going to, uh, Harper Harper, Kansas, where Harper Manufacturing is. They make, uh, sweepers and backs. Oh. And then they make a bunch of other stuff too. They make, uh, Dewey truck beds. It’s a flatbed that’s got a hoist on it for picking up round bales. Oh yeah. Yeah. I’ve seen those popular out there. But yeah, that was really cool. Um, hung out with those guys for the day. And so that was a all day thing because it’s a little over three hours from Lawrence down to Harper. Oh yeah. Yeah. Where is that at? In Wichita or what? Or further south? Further south is kind of, yeah. Southwest of Wichita. I don’t know how far. I mean it was maybe 30 minutes. The other side of Wichita, but cool place. We got some interesting stuff going on there. Have any of y’all ever heard of, uh, five s Uhuh? It’s, uh, I don’t know if Toyota created it or if it’s just something they go by. It was four s and I think now they’re up to five s. But it’s just a way of organizing your facility where you got, everything has a place, everything has a home. And they were in the process of doing that on some of their assembly lines and it was really cool stuff. And just got me thinking, you know, about our shop and our operation and the stuff that we’re doing every single day. Having all those tools, you know, in the exact spot that you need ’em handy and close up until, until somebody puts it, just lays it there or hides it in one of the carts. But otherwise, yeah. Yeah. Well, and I mean, for our stuff, you know, if you need a five eights ranch or a T handle with a five eight s and. How to cut, gauge whatever you’re using and having all that stuff just laid out. I have it all on a cart now, but I was thinking maybe it was cool. They had a bunch of carts and they had foam trays, and the foam trays were cut out just for the tools that they needed for whatever that job was. Yeah, that’s really nice when, when they all have their own little spot. Yeah. And it’s really easy to see if something’s missing. It was pretty cool stuff. What’s everybody else got going? Yeah. Anybody else want to, uh, ask to speak? I think it’s on the bottom left. Maybe you can request to speak if anybody else wants to get on here and tell us what you’ve been doing tr Are you guys all dormant yet? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, we oversee our fairways with dry grass, so still mowing that crap all year. Um, but well, and it was crazy. We mowed greens Friday. Really? Bermuda. Yeah. So I say we’re dormant. I mean, we look dormant, but we’re still mowing that stuff. You guys cut your fairways in with pre-emergent when you, before you, uh, oversee? Yeah. Yeah. They do all that, whatever, I don’t know, 90 days ahead of time or something, like get all their stuff out, whatever the magic number is. Maybe it’s 60 days before we oversee. I’m sure. I mean, I, I’ve seen some places that don’t really that look as good, but they don’t really care where that scene goes and. No, it was funny. Every year we’re telling the guys like, don’t track this on the green. You’re gonna be picking it all Winter I mean they do. I was like, one of the worst jobs is, uh, pick p outta greens and they do it all winter long. The stuff that gets tracked. You send someone up here to do it during the summer. Yeah, our guys would be really good at it, cuz yeah, they got their technique down. We got on kneeling pads and uh, I don’t, we bought a bunch of needle nose pliers so they can use that to pull it out. I don’t, you know, there’s no good way to do it. You just pick it out. It’s time consuming. Anybody else want to get on here and tell us what you’re working on? Tell us what you’ve been up. Tell us where you’re going. Every time I ask that somebody drops off. So I’m gonna stop asking that question. I’m, uh, tomorrow I’m gonna work on that, uh, real soaking tub that I was talking about. Um, last week the rubber came in. So for anybody that’s not in the WhatsApp roof, it’s uh, it’s a tub to soak the reels in. And I made some plates to block off the bearing house, the bearings on the real housings. Oh yeah. So reels. So I’m gonna soak ’em in like a, like a, an acid acidic, like, uh, degreaser for a couple hours and power wash ’em. I’m hoping it, it alleviates some of the scrubbing and the, the heavy power washing. Hmm. Interesting. Yeah, let us know how that turns out for sure. Yeah, I’m gonna get into it tomorrow and try some out, so hopefully it makes it easier. That’d be super cool if that works or helps. I’ve been using, what is it? It’s, uh, It’s made by Texas Refinery. It’s w e D 1 29 and it’s their D Greer, but it works great on aluminum. So the QA five, the side plates, you spray it on there and pressure wash it and they look brand new, hydraulic motors, all that stuff. It works really good. Yeah, and that’s kinda what we’re hoping to do. I mean, it’s nice when you see, you know, a six, seven year old piece of equipment that looks brand new. It’s just, it’s rewarding, I think shows that you take care of it. So, yeah, no, it’s, it’s just so hard getting there. We went through when we, we grind all our fairway units before we Ry grass for the first time. So we’re doing that end of September. We’ll get everything ground, but that was part of it this year is, uh, task the guys with, I want this thing to look brand new. So we have four fairway units. They look brand new. We mowed dry grass like three times. They look like crap. I mean, it’s so disappointing. It’s like, you know, and I don’t know. It’s just like nobody else cares. Yeah, that’s frustrating, isn’t it? Cause you take care of that stuff all the time and then they just, they they leave it and don’t do a very good job. Yeah. I don’t, I don’t know what the, I mean, Chad Ron up there, it’s amazing what he’s got his guys bought into and he, he’s a whole different animal. Yeah. I don’t, I dunno how, I dunno how he gets his guys to keep that, keep up with that stuff. I don one of his things, he said that I guess they have towels and after they, he said they don’t, the operators don’t really wash it off. They just rinse it when they’re done, rinse all the debris off, but they wipe it down with these towels. He said he gives ’em, you know, a hard time if they bring the towel back and it’s not green. He wants the towel to be green when he gets it back, but they do it and his stuff stays looking sharp. It’s amazing. So one day hopefully we get our crew to do that, but it’s, it’s been a real struggle when you put all that time and effort in and have it looking perfect and it goes out three times and then it looks like crap again. What, uh, what are you talking about at MTF Track? Uh, I think I’m doing, uh, I got two talks, the tips and tricks that I’m doing for gis and then, The talk, I’ve, I’ve gave it several times, but it’s about growing your network and then I talk about mental health at the end. Um, that’s what I want to do. Both of those. And I was emailing the guy today, Kevin, or something Ben got me in touch with. And I guess one of the talks, I’ll be talking to the superintendents and technicians like on Tuesday afternoon or something. Gotcha. And then I don’t remember when the, the next talk is, if it’s Wednesday. Cause I think Ben was saying it’s like Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday and Thursday morning. Typically, the EM portion of that was only a day. It’s changed since the last time I’ve been, it’s been a couple years. It’s been like, I think since 2019, since I’ve been pre covid. Mm. Yeah, the EM was typically just a day, but I think yeah, they’ve changed it out. Make it two days, make it a little more worthwhile to travel there and go to it. Right. Cause Michigan people don’t realize Michigan’s ginormous is, I mean, it’s a huge state. You can drive like 16 hours and still be in Michigan. Wow. Yeah. I had no idea it was that big. I don’t, I don’t know if it’s that big, but I mean it’s, yeah, if you go from Detroit all the way over to W or Wisconsin, up to the up, I mean, it’s a long trip. Yeah, I bet. So, yeah, I’ll probably, uh, I might give you a call tomorrow and we’ll, if you got some free time and I’ll figure out my arrangements for getting up there and getting back. I need to talk to Ben. I mean, if you fly up we can work it out to you. Just ride with. I dunno, we’ll talk about it. Yep. Yeah. I, I literally live five minutes from the airport. Yeah, that would be, uh, that would be cool for sure. I tried to take Mike to, to dinner the night he flew in, but he kind of blew me off. That’s no surprise. Not true, bro. Not true. He’s, he’s got that blue check now and he thinks he’s better than everybody else. Yeah. Yeah. I need to talk to any of you peasants anymore. That’s right. Pretty much. No. Seth did ask me, but I, he already knows and I know he was messing with me. But yeah, just, I had to get over there. I didn’t know what was gonna go on with the border. He kind of experienced that a little bit where they’re like, what are you doing? Where you from? What do you live? Where you going? Why? And like, I had to explain what I did like four times to this guy. Three times, probably the first time he is like, what do you do? I said, I, I sell golf course equipment, was all I said. Then he. Can you be a little more Des? And I was like, yeah, we sell the machines that sharpen the mowers. He’s like, what? So I had to tell more. So the next thing you know, I’m saying foul this and thou that. He just like gave me the thousand yard stare. I was like, okay. Yeah. Was it a 10,000? Yeah, it was a there, that’s where you messed up. You should just said, I’m just gonna go visit buddies. Yeah. I’m just gonna go snort a lot of maple syrups. What I should have said, you bring in any maple syrup back? Um, I can’t answer that question on Twitter. Okay. All right. Is it illegal? Bring it back. Nevermind. Yeah. Good. I’m good. I already, yeah. Yeah. I had, I smuggled it back across the border. Why don’t, I mean, Is it really smuggling? Can’t you buy it? Oh yeah, yeah. It’s, I’m just joking around. Yeah, yeah. No, it’s totally fine. I mean, I bought some in the airport when I was coming back from over there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I did that once before too and it was really good too. Oh yeah, dude, I’m sure, I’m sure their cheap, crappy, like bottom of the barrel version of maple syrup is a million times better than our high end stuff. Yeah. I had some, I think from Vermont or something. Vermont’s good. They had good stuff. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it was okay, but it was no Canadian maple syrup. No. Yeah, it was crazy. That’s really good. I legit when you asked me that, I like, forgot where I was for a second you got, uh, plenty, uh, sour Patch kids and stuff. I did. I ate a lot on the way there. And then on the way to Chicago, on the way back from Chicago. So I think I’ve had enough Sour Patch kids for the, for this whole trip. Oh, I got to uh, make a correction for Brian since he was asking where I got the Sour Patch kids. It was actually Dylan’s. Oh, when you put chills and tag? Yeah. Yeah. I tag chills cause that’s where I’d been and that’s all I was thinking about was chills. I’m gonna go back to that post right now and tell ’em you lied. Yeah, that’s okay. Well, yeah, it was kinda funny. Shields like the post too. I was like, they don’t even know what they’re selling But that’s okay. I don’t, I inspire to work part-time at shes, that’s, that’s gonna be my next job. You’ll end up spending more money or most of your retirement though. Oh yeah, for sure. That’s exactly where it’s all going. I’ll just see if they can, uh, not give me a paycheck and pay me any guns or something or ammo. It’s such a good place. Oh, it’s just like the, it’s just like the older retired guys that come work at the golf course. They do it for the golf. You can just go retire and work at Shields and just to be able to buy stuff there. Yeah. No, that’s, that’s my plan. That’s my plan. I’m going to, uh, buy me a place that’s close to Shields and close to a range and maybe I won’t even have a permanent residence. I’m surprised they don’t have a range in there. I, somebody told me they had a archery range, but yeah, I didn’t see a, a gun range in inside. I’ve been in the one in Kansas City and the one in um, Texas, and I saw they had one in Wichita. I almost stopped by that guy. Yeah, they’re all over around. I looked it up. Go ahead. That podcast, I looked it up, that podcast with, with you and Howard. You guys were talking about it, so I had to look it up. The place looks sweet. It is. Do y’all have ’em up in Michigan? No, no. We got Cabelas. That’s about it. Yeah. I don’t want Cabelas and Bass Pro. That’s a joke after you’ve been to Shields. I’m serious. I mean, I’ve dropped dead serious. That’s That’s crazy. Do all of have like the Ferris wheel in them? The two I’ve been in do I don’t know that They all do. Yeah. The one here that I know of does. Yeah. Me and Kelly actually rode the Ferris wheel and the one in Kansas City last weekend. It was pretty nice. She’s scared of heights too, so it was a lot of fun. She’s like, stop rocking, stop rocking. Yeah. Yeah. You gotta rock when somebody’s scared. She’s like, you see that sign that says no rocking? I said, I’m not rocking. I just, I move my weight around a little bit. I’m sorry. I’m a fat boy. Yeah. I’m trying to get comfortable. Geez. That’s right. No, it’s good. Its fun times. Brian, you going to, c what is it? Cts? Yeah. Yeah. I’m going to gis. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I’ll be there. You going Seth? Yeah, I think that’s the plan. Yeah. Okay. I might, what’s, uh, do you have to sign up for that one in Michigan? I might try and go, come up there. you do. I don’t know the details. I can send you a link. Okay. Yeah, if you would tomorrow or something. How far away you work out Monday? How far away is that for you, Brian, Michigan? Uh, that’s probably like nine hours if I drive. Okay. Yeah. Well, I don’t, I looked at flights today and it was like 130 bucks to fly to Atlanta to Detroit. Like, why am I even thinking about that? Must be a direct flight. Yeah. Yeah, it is. I was kind of surprised. And then I’m supposed to go to North Dakota like March 1st and tickets were like 750 bucks to fly to Fargo. Great. It’s still really cold up there that time of year. Yeah, I know. They said last year they had a blizzard the same week. I’m like, this is great. Why not sign up for this? But I did math courses up there. What was the question? Are there golf courses up there? I don’t know. Um, I think this is a, it is a turf grass, North Dakota Turf Grass Association or something. Asked me to come up there and speak and I said yes. I guess they have ’em in up where Tim’s at. Right. They gotta have ’em in North Dakota. Yeah. Yeah, that’s true. That’s a good point. Well, yeah, they’re, yeah. All, all kind of golf courses all over Canada. So what part of Canada are you in, Tim, I guess you’re on our speaker. Are you Tim’s over in the Windsor, I believe. Hmm, I think that’s right. I invited him to speak. We’ll see, which is across the river from Detroit. So, I mean, he’s, he’s another one that’s right down the road from me. Okay. Where you located Tim? How you doing Tim? I’m doing okay. I was gonna say you, there’ll be golf courses up there. Okay. It’s good to know. Good to know. Yeah. Yeah. Also wanted to say, SU you were saying something about something going on in Michigan. Yeah. The, uh, Michigan mtf, Michigan Turf Grass Conference. Can you send me details on that? I may slip across for that since I’m, you know, 10 minutes from Michigan. Yeah, absolutely. What I’ll do is I’ll share it into the real turf text, uh, WhatsApp group. That way I’m doing it right now, actually. No, that sounds good. I, I’d slip across for that. Yeah, that’d be good. More the merrier. Rolling. What’s, when’s the EM meeting at, at Orlando? Is it Wednesday, did you say? I can’t remember. Yeah, I think the EM reception is Wednesday from, I can’t remember. Okay. Four to five, five to six, something like that. Looked it up the other day. I’m about to go back through and figure everything out. Yeah, I, I just posted the, uh, Michigan Turf Grass Conference and the, uh, what. Awesome. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s uh, Wednesday and I don’t remember where last year was on the show floor, but it’s been different year to year. Hey, Trent, has, uh, has Seth ever, submitted his application to be on the Turf Text podcast? No, he has not. And, every time I, I send him out, you know, maybe once a month. And so he didn’t get that. And yeah. And he says he never gets it, but if I send him another email, he replies immediately. So I know he is full of it. That’s the way that goes. Okay. I’m just waiting for the right time. Yes. It’s not you, it’s me. No, man. It’s really all good and it’s not, you know, if you don’t wanna do it, just say you don’t wanna do it, and that’s fine. I’ll leave you alone. I quit bugging you, but I would love to have you on and No, you’re not bugging me. It’ll, it’ll be fun for sure. Oh yeah, there, honestly, that’s, I can’t wait. That’s my favorite part. Can’t wait to meet you in Michigan. Yeah, no, no. I’m excited about it too. Hopefully we get, hopefully it gets cold and we get, get, uh, decent ice. Yeah, Ben was a little concerned with that. Like, maybe there won’t be enough ice, but we’ll wing it. It’s, it’s it’s early, uh, I mean that typically we don’t start fishing till middle of January, but you never know. It might, it might get called, I don’t know. And that’s where he’s talking about going is, you know, it’s further north, so it might be better up there. Well, he was saying it was maybe five hours from Detroit or something like that. Yeah, it’s like four. It’s almost by Traverse City. Okay. mean, I’m down for anything. It, it doesn’t matter. Um, yeah, I mean it’s, if you’ve never been up to northern Michigan, you, you definitely need to go. Yeah, no, I’m, I’m just, I’m down to it’s beautiful up there. Do doing whatever and now I’m, I saw a show today, uh, where they were hunting AANAs in Florida with pellet guns. So I’m pretty intrigued with that too. So I don’t you know anything about that, Mike, you ever heard of that? Uh, I’m not familiar with that, but I’m not shocked at all. It’s that, and you can hunt pythons and all kinds of crazy stuff now. I don’t, they were on some little river, you know, and there was a lot of houses and stuff and Yeah. They’re just blasting AANAs left and right. They look like so much fun. They even had a lab to retrieve ’em. Oh wow. Yeah, it was crazy. It was awesome. Yeah, I’ve not heard of that yet, but I 1000% believe it. You get you. I think they pay you, don’t they? For killing pythons? Can’t you get like money per foot? Yeah, you do get paid Cuz they’re so invasive or whatever. I don’t know that you get paid with the Ganas, but it looked like they were pretty invasive too and they were taking ’em over. That’s Florida for you. Strange. Down there. It’s like the next, next California. Yeah, no, not far behind. Nice try bro. I’m not biting on that. Just waiting. Just waiting. I know. Kyle, you got something you wanted to say? Hey guys. Yeah, I just got, just got some house stuff done here. I, I’ve got Mike, uh, coming in, coming into the shop tomorrow to see the Westfield guys, so looking forward to that. But I’m sorry, from Iguanas? Uh, yeah, back on, back on the Iguanas. Yes. I just sold like a dirty jobs that show in they, this company like shoots ’em and then they take ’em back to the shop and they grind ’em up and make chum and like sell it to fishermen out of it. Ah, okay. I guess they’re pretty invasive. I, I don’t know if you can just, anybody can shoot ’em with air rifle or you gotta have a permit or a business or what, but yeah, the, where I saw it, it was, uh, one of the hunting shows and they had booked like a guide and the guy took ’em out on this river and. They were just shooting ’em left and right, and they were putting ’em in a cooler. But, you know, I don’t know that anybody eats aana. I, I don’t know if that would be good or not, but, you know, people eat all kind of stuff, so maybe should look into it doing that, uh, while we’re down at gis. Yeah, that would be, I’m, I’m down for that. That would be a lot of fun. Yeah. You’re speaking my language now. Yeah, that’s, uh, that’s my kind of fun right there. I love shooting animals. That’s, uh, a good friend of mine growing up, he was, he was one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet, but, and he, deer hunt, you know, I mean, he hunted everything you could hunt here in Georgia. And, uh, anybody would ask him, well, you, you really like hunting? Ah, he’s like, eh, I really just like burning powder. You know? He didn’t care what he was hunting. He just, he was wanting to shoot. I had my, uh, my 2 43 in the tractor with me all day today, just in case, you know, something might walk out. Yeah. What’s the season up there? Uh, right now, I mean, coyotes is all year round, which is what I would’ve been going for today, but there’s a mos loader season for Deere right now too. But I didn’t have that with me. I don’t, I remember Austin telling me the deer season in Wisconsin was like nine days long probably for rifle, maybe. Yeah. I just couldn’t believe that it was crazy. We’re down here, it’s open for like three months. Yeah, we’re like September to mid-January, but it, it varies from bow to rifle to muzzle loader. Yeah. That’s kind of how it is here too, Bo from September to October and then rifle from October to January 1st or mid-January, depending on where you’re at in the state. That’s good stuff. In, in Michigan tr there’s a line that goes across the state and you can’t shoot rifle below that line, but you can shoot shotgun and muzzle load. They got some, some weird rules in Michigan. Can you shoot like a, like a four 50 bushmaster, like a straight cartridge? I don’t think so. That’s probably a mu shotgun below that line. Well, I think most of Fulton County, which city of Atlanta’s in Fulton County? It’s uh, archery only. I believe that whole county is, I think the state records of Georgia is shot in Fulton County. Yeah, thank You’re right. It’s, yeah, there’s some big deer in Fulton County and Cobb too. Yeah, I think Cobb’s archery only too. I watch a guy on YouTube called, Seek one. And he does urban hunting. He’s based out of Atlanta. Oh, wow. Okay. And, uh, it’s pretty, pretty interesting what he does. What’s, what’s that called again? That, that sounds interesting. Yeah, it’s called Seek, s e e k one. And all he does is he like, goes and knocks on doors and like Marietta and stuff, and sets up trail cams, and he’ll like, follow these deer for like a year. He’ll just go knock on doors and be like, Hey, I’ve been following this deer and I set up standing your backyard. And they’re like, yeah, sure. Huh. That’s really cool. But I think he’s, he might be the guy that has the record. I mean, he shoots like 180 point buck, I mean, massive bucks. Yeah. That’s crazy. Huh? Yeah. There’s not a lot of, uh, hunting pressure in Fulton County. No. It’s the same way with Detroit. I mean, there’s some massive bucks. I our golf course. Mm-hmm. So is the course five minutes away too? 10 minutes away from the airport? No, it’s 2030. Okay. 30 minutes. So you live closer to the city? yeah. I’m kind of in the city. The, the golf, it’s, I don’t know, it’s strange. It’s a big metro area. Golf courses. I mean, there’s big homes around the whole golf course. Like it’s in a city, Bloomfield Hills. It’s pretty, uh, pretty hustle and bustle. But, uh, yeah, it’s not downtown like you guys. Right. Lot of even. Yeah. The North course and Roswell. That’s, yeah. Busy enough there. it’s, it’s probably more like the north course. Yeah. I don’t And what you, what do you have go ahead. Going on at your course right now? Not a lot. We’re just, um, you know, finishing up some marathon before we get our frost and snow. And, uh, for me, I’m just, uh, starting to work through all the equipment I what’s y’all’s, uh, procedure in the winter time for courses that shut, shut down. Far as equipment? I mean, is it a break it down, replace every bearing and seal? Uh, well, it depends on the course you’re working at, I guess. Um, mostly, yeah, it’s break it down, see what you need to replace and then, uh, carry on from there. Uh, for me, I, I locked all my grinding. I’m not touching it until probably January sometime. So right now I just tore down completely tore down a 25 year old bunker rake we still have, and repainting and rebuilding from the ground backup. Awesome. Y’all do, uh, a lot of that kinda refurb equipment instead of replacing or buying new, uh, and these times? Yeah, it seems to be more of that, you know, like. We have a wish list, but there’s only so much every year we can get, uh, the course I’m at. We, they pay cash for everything, so it’s not like we can do a five year lease slip or anything like that, so mm-hmm. we have to plan ahead and keep certain things going longer. Yeah. The process of new stuff, it’s just crazy. Plus you ordered it today and you’re not gonna get it for a year. Yeah. That’s what happened with our two fairway mos. We ordered them last, last fall and they just showed up this fall, so one, one only got 10 hours on it before we shut down. Yeah. It’s, it’s nuts. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I ordered two saska rollers a week ago and they said 12 months before we get ’em. Yep. It’s, it’s getting pretty bad compared to what it was. We’re, we’re trying to stay proactive and we’re talking about. Putting our order in for 24 so that we’re not in this predicament of having to wait. Are you guys staying deer, Seth? Oh yeah. Yep. So we put our order in in August for a whole new package, and for the most part, I think the latest thing’s gonna be next December, but that’s like two tractors, but everything else will be here by April and April to June. Right in that timeframe. That’s really impressive. I think. Yeah, I just got the list, I think it was Friday and it had everything had a delivery date on it. So I think between Toro and Deere, I think Deere’s a little more on top of it, I would say. I know talking to some guys that have ordered some Toro stuff, they don’t have any dates. You know, they put a order in and they don’t show any dates for anything. Yeah. Our Toro distributor down here was, we’ll give you a price and we can’t promise when you will get it or what the price will be, and how do you go to your board of directors and say, I need this equipment and I don’t know what it’s gonna cost. Yeah. That was, you know, kind of the predicament we were in. Do you think that that’s, because with John Deere, they’re so massive and they have the ag backing that they can produce stuff a little better and have the, have the, the shipping available. Yeah. I don’t, I don’t know honestly what, what it is. I mean, I’ve heard a lot of different things of why, but there’s never, there’s never a solution. And I’m sure with Deere being bigger, they can, you know, got more resources available to them. I know when I was at the Foley plant, they were trying to get a lot of their air two G two stuff out and they were waiting on components like engines and hydraulic pumps and stuff. Like that’s what was holding them up on getting that stuff out the door. Yeah, it seems to be small stuff that is holding everything out. Well, I don’t, I heard somebody talk and this was more retail stuff that. Target was overstocked on stuff because they had, you know, ordered so much and when, uh, the ports were shut down or they couldn’t find anybody to unload the containers, the, they ended up getting it from other places and now the containers got there. So they’re overstocked on stuff. I don’t know if that’s true or not. That’s just what I heard. I wish, I wish there would be not a solution, but at least, you know, something needs to be tried. I mean, it’s not just the manufacturers that are at fault here. I mean, it’s got, I think there’s a lot more going on than that. Well, it’s also, I mean, in the motor city here, you should see how many trucks and Broncos are sitting around in. Just sitting there waiting for components. Mostly chips, but I mean, there’s thousands and thousands of vehicles that are just sitting in lots around the metro area. Yeah. But that’s pretty crazy to see. Yeah. Yeah. I heard some story at one of those Ford plants where they were taking chips and putting them in the truck and driving ’em out and to their parking lot, and then they take the chip out and then they take it back into the factory and put it in the next one and get it out. Well, so all my neighbors work for Ford and one guy was telling me he runs, his job is he runs the Dino for Ford. So his job is basically to, to try to blow up whatever engine Ford comes up with. And he was saying, telling me about all these vehicles that are sitting in these lot. Like last year, you know, there were 2022 models or whatever, 2021 models and they were having to go back and reve them for 2022 models. So all these cars that are getting leased, they’re coming off not the assembly line, they’re coming out of a parking lot and they’ve been sitting there for a year and they just got Rev to the next year. So I dunno how they get away with doing that. Yeah, it sounds a little shady, but you can’t expect them to take the hit too on whatever that would cost them. Yep. Crazy times we’re in That’s crazy. For sure. Well, y’all ready to wrap it up? Yeah, yeah. I’m getting ready to hit in the shower and go to bed myself, so, yep. Sounds good. Well, thank you all for, uh, hopping on here. It’s a good catching up with everybody. Yeah, thank you. And, uh, yeah, thanks for hosting that, Trent. Oh, yeah. Seths just gonna have to stay on me and I’ll, I’ll host more, but it’s like every Sunday afternoon I find a good excuse not to do, uh, space. So I just need somebody pushing me. Yeah, I just gimme a call either tomorrow or the next day. Trent, we’ll discuss, get a game plan. I’ll talk to Ben, get a game plan for, uh, MTF or whatever. All right. Yeah, if you, uh, if you wanna reach out to Ben tomorrow, maybe I’ll call you Tuesday or something, if that works for you. And if, yeah, I mean, if we, yeah, I mean, there’s some things we can. Well, like I said, you know, I’m game for whatever, you know, if there’s no ice, that was just something I had in my little pee brain is it would be cool to go ice fishing, but I’m down for, for whatever. Yeah. If that, if that fall, if that falls through, no pun intended, but we can we can do, uh, shop drawers or something around the area also. Yeah, no, that would be awesome too. Yeah, and I, I don’t think I’ve ever been to the state of Michigan, so I’m, I’m excited to see what it’s all about. Maybe getting you up here and kinda getting your, your podcast out, out and abouts and all these other, I mean, I mean, I know a lot of mechanics and I don’t know if they know anything about the podcast or what you’re doing for. Yeah. No, that’d be super awesome. And it’s weird. I think a lot of it is word of mouth, and that’s something I was thinking about the other day on the podcast. I gotta start doing a better job of telling people to tell their neighbor, because basically the only advertisement that I do is Twitter. So if you’re not on Twitter or you don’t know anybody that’s on Twitter, you probably never even heard about the podcast. Yeah. Well, I mean, Aaron, Aaron K. Who was on your podcast, I mean, he was on, he hopped on Twitter space that one time and I told you to interview Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Mm-hmm. It’s weird you’re trying to get other people on there, but you won’t get on yourself. That’s weird. Yeah. Yeah, he had, he had no idea about it either, so that was cool. Yeah. Yeah. No, that was cool. He was a good dude. Yep. You’re gonna have to find him a job in the thumb of Michigan up there. Yeah. He said that’s where he has to be. I heard, I heard Wisconsin’s. Wisconsin’s gonna take the up back. I’ve never been to the up It’s a long, long drive for you. Probably. It’s like six hours from me. Crazy. All right, y’all, y’all? Yep. I enjoyed it. We’ll, uh, see y’all next time. See you guys. Right. See it. See it.
